Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sweetener of choice white, brown, or sugar-free alternatives work well
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional, but recommended for extra richness

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Mix dry ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Combine wet ingredients: In a larger mixing bowl, whisk together softened butter, sweetener, eggs, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add dry to wet: Slowly add your dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined.
  • Optional: Fold in chocolate chips for an extra indulgent touch.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into the lined pan. Spread evenly and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with just a few crumbs.
  • Cool completely before slicing into squares.
