Preheat the Oven
Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the chickpeas from sticking.
Prepare the Chickpeas
Spread the cooked chickpeas on a kitchen towel and pat them dry. Be sure to remove any loose skins. This step is important to ensure the chickpeas become nice and crispy during roasting.
Toss with Olive Oil and Salt
Transfer the dried chickpeas to the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle them with extra-virgin olive oil and sprinkle them with sea salt. Toss everything together so the chickpeas are evenly coated.
Roast the Chickpeas
Roast the chickpeas in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and crispy. Make sure to check on them halfway through, as oven temperatures may vary. If the chickpeas aren’t crispy enough, keep roasting until they reach the perfect crunch!
Season and Serve
Once the chickpeas are crispy, remove them from the oven and immediately toss them with your choice of spices, such as paprika, curry powder, or other spices you prefer. Serve them warm or let them cool and enjoy them as a snack.
